Ian Aisling is a down-to-earth Canadian composer, producer and pianist whose work currently spans orchestral, electronic, solo piano and songwriting styles. Through seamlessly blending improvisation with his production process, he creates emotionally driven pieces inspired by film and video game soundtracks, with a deep focus on atmosphere and emotional storytelling. As he continues to expand into more collaborative work, Ian approaches each project with care, curiosity, and a deep appreciation for the creative process.

INSPIRATION

Video game and film scores are what got me into music composition, and are ultimately how I fell in love with music in the first place. To this day, the leading cause for me to emotionally connect with a film/game is how well the soundtrack breathes life into the story. As a composer, my goal is always to create a special feeling with music - a feeling that only music is able to bring about.
