“My name is Ian Aisling and I am a professional piano technician who studied through the International Piano Technicians School. As a lifelong pianist and lover of piano technology, I became inspired to learn about the craft as I often encountered pianos that sounded and played far below their potential due to a lack of proper care. Since completing my training, I’ve had the privilege of adjusting numerous pianos to the standard I’ve always sought as a pianist, composer and recording artist. My abilities as a piano technician are trusted by Long & McQuade, the Art Gallery of Hamilton, and several professional musicians throughout the city.
With a strong background in jazz and contemporary piano performance, years of experience as a composer, and a deep understanding of how a well-maintained instrument can unlock a player’s full expression, I approach every tuning with both technical precision and musical sensitivity — treating every piano as if it were my own. Whether I’m preparing an instrument for a recording session, a recital, or simple living-room enjoyment, my goal is always to improve its sound so that it can bring you the joy it is truly capable of.”
